Fix My Street
This website allows you to report problems such as potholes, overgrown trees and fly-tipping directly to Peterborough City Council.

Defibrillator
There is a defibrillator located in the old telephone box in the middle of the village.  It is accessible 24/7 with clear instructions on its use, and no training is needed.
For any assistance required, contact councillor Corinna Blackmore on 07798 581142.

Post Box
The post box is situated on the opposite side of the road to the telephone box in Main Street and there are daily collections. There is another post box halfway up the hill towards Ufford.

Nature Reserves
There are two nature reserves in the village. Both are currently managed by the Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs and Northants. They are as follows:
Southorpe Meadow - a rich wildflower hay meadow and home to several species of orchid -  is in the middle of the village on the opposite side of the road to the telephone box.  This is a Site of Specific Scientic Interest (SSSI)
Southorpe Paddock – a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with unimproved grassland and a diverse range of wildflowers and wildlife, is on the left hand side of the road just over the hump back bridge heading towards the A47.

The Village Field
The village field was gifted to Southorpe for use as amenity land.  It is accessed through a gate about 150 yards over the bridge heading out of the village towards the A47.  The field hosts the annual bonfire night and village picnic. A nature recovery plan is currently being developed to enhance the biodiversity at the site. If you’d like to be involved please contact councillor Corinna Blackmore on 07798 581142.

WhatsApp Group
There is an active WhatsApp group for villagers to share news/information. For more details contact Richard Joy (07734 107934) or Carl Brown (07946 528300).

Annual Litter-Pick
A group of residents takes part in an annual litter pick.  It has proved popular in the last few years.  If you would like to take part please, contact Vanessa Brown (07958 877376).

Bin Collection Schedules
Tuesday is bin collection day.  It is best to check schedules for the regularity of grey, brown and green bin collections, which you can do here.

Parish Noticeboards
There is one in the centre of the village. This contains Parish Council meeting minutes, agendas and other useful information.
